Golf Etiquette
- Hands in the air means stop and be quiet while golfers are playing their shots.
- To allow for better viewing for all, please be considerate of others and kneel or sit down whenever possible.
- For your safety and the safety of others, please follow the directions of the tournament marshals.
Attire
Please check daily forecasts and dress accordingly. Hats, cool clothing and sunscreen are recommended on bright, sunny days. Appropriate clothing/shoes should be worn at all times. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.

Fan Shop & Golf Shop
You are invited to shop for all the latest and greatest in either our Colonial Golf Shop or the Fan Shop located by the lower putting green. The Fan Shop is located in the Schwab Performance Center and offers our full assortment of merchandise and welcome patrons until gates close.

Weather Warning Policy
Please observe all scoreboards/message boards for WEATHER WARNING signage. Signage will appear in advance of inclement weather moving into the area if we become aware of such weather. When the sign appears, you are advised to take precautions even before play is suspended. Suspension of play will be signaled by the sounding of an air horn or similar alert. You should seek shelter immediately upon hearing the alert. During periods of inclement weather, you should avoid the following:
- Bodies of water
- Golf carts
- Hilltops and high places
- Isolated trees
- Open areas
- Wire fences
Safety
For your personal safety, we ask that you exercise caution at all times. Please be reminded that under wet conditions the ground may become slippery and appropriate precautions should be observed.
Camera Policy
Cameras are strictly prohibited on Tournament days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). On Practice Round days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), cameras are permitted for still photography and personal use only. Only one camera lens is permitted during Practice Rounds, and it may not exceed more than 8 inches in length when fully extended.
Security & Bag Policy
The PGA TOUR security policy in effect at the tournament. No bags larger than 6”x6” (including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags, or chair bags) are permitted through the gates. No clear, plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12”x6”x12” are permitted through the gates. For more information, please visit the PGA Tour Prohibited Items and Permitted Items.
Methods of Payment
All facilities at the Charles Schwab Challenge are cashless. Credit card and debit card are the only accepted methods of payment at concession stands, merchandise shops and shipping locations.
Lost and Found
Located at Colonial Country Club Security inside the clubhouse, Lost and Found is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. Any patron finding a lost item on the grounds should report it to the nearest security manager, who can deliver the item to Lost and Found.
Animals & Pets
No animals or pets are allowed on the grounds except animals necessary and specially trained to assist or guide the physically impaired.
